What did Every Woman Works need?

Mia helped Every Woman Works create a plan to transition a core program online by developing a focused strategy, timeline for implementation, and methods and metrics for measuring success.

Why is this project important?

We believe that Every Woman Works will take an active role in the "re-entry" phase of our economy returning. We are gearing up to be on the frontline for people returning back to employment. As you know the women we serve are the hardest hit in this Corona employment impact. It will take a strong effort to focus on our clientele who are most often the hourly waged employees and those with the least resources. Every Woman Works team is building its current online curriculum for this purpose.

This project will save us $5,848, allowing us to help buy needed supplies for the community.

I'm pausing on my job search because I want to volunteer during this time of worldwide suffering and change, and I think helping some of the most vulnerable is a better use of my time than looking for a job right now. I have experience in teaching, technical writing and training, online learning, project management, and more.

What did they have to say?

Dear Mia,
Nickie and I and the staff at EWW, are thankful for your assistance and leadership in helping us to create a marketing survey that will lead to our decision making on a new direction for Every Woman Works. When Covid-19 hit we were faced with the dilemma of how do we connect and serve our women. Our women were already in a traumatic state of recovery from addiction and the pandemic created more uncertainty in their lives. We are believers that out of chaos comes goodness and Covid-19 showed us that we could offer our services online through virtual teaching. Within 10 days we pivoted and placed our 5-week curriculum online. The next step was to gather data and to analyze the collected information to tell us if our classes had value to a larger market for a “Re-entry Back to Work Campaign”. With your help, we are now assessing that market which will help us to support our next strategic move and the scalability of our organization as we move toward enhancement or re-invention.

Non-profits survive with the pillars of volunteerism. It is a cool
way to achieve expertise beyond the walls of our office. We appreciate your services through your commitment to Catch a Fire. We can do so much more with assistance from people like yourself. Your services served us in a critical time and we appreciate your support toward making a difference by sharing your unique gifts and talents.
Thank you.
My best to you always, Stacey Howell
