What did Family Independence Initiative need?

Craig helped Family Independence Initiative create customized visual design elements that complement written copy for printed communications and marketing materials.

Why is this project important?

Creating compelling visuals of our human stories of impact and data helps people connect with who we are, and they fall in love with us. We need our message to spread, and we have a really unique collection of data and stories.

This project will save us $3,002, allowing us to give money directly to families.

Craig started out as a freelance illustrator, represented on both coasts and commissioned by a formidable roster of consumer publications and book publishers. About Family Independence Initiative

Why make poverty tolerable, when we can make it escapable?

As a nation, we have missed an opportunity to invest directly in the initiative and strength of low-income families working toward economic mobility. 75% of low-income families move above the federal poverty line within four years. Yet, 50% slip back under within five years. Under the current system, families struggle to build the necessary assets to weather the next crisis and aren't rewarded for their initiative in doing so. FII is changing this resource gap for low-income families by partnering with, learning from, and investing directly in families.
Fun Fact

Fun Fact

We give money directly to low-income families, and work with government and philanthropy to change the way people think about families with low incomes.

This is the 2nd project posted by Family Independence Initiative.
